Nanyuki Sports Club hosts eighth leg of KCB East Africa Golf Tour this Saturday.
Over 200 top amateur golfers from around the region to compete.
Top two teams will qualify for the grand finale scheduled for December 5, 2025.
Winners of the finale will receive KShs. 1 million and entry to a prestigious international tournament.
The tour heads next to Karen Country Club on May 31, 2025.
The scenic Nanyuki Sports Club, located at the foot of Mt. Kenya, is set to be the battleground for the eighth leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour. This Saturday, more than 200 amateur players from local and neighboring golf clubs will gather to compete on one of the country’s most admired courses.
Club captain Michael Mwirigi confirmed preparations were complete and the course is ready to welcome players.
“Our course has always been one of the best in the country with wide fairways and slow greens. We cannot wait to showcase our rich golfing tradition,” said Mwirigi.
This leg of the tournament is more than a display of skill—it’s a gateway to the tour's prestigious grand finale set for December 5, 2025. While the final venue is yet to be announced, the competition at Nanyuki is expected to be fierce, with the top two teams earning qualification.
The event has attracted some of the region's finest, continuing the competitive spirit witnessed in previous legs such as Kericho, where standout teams earned their spots for the final showdown.
Speaking about the significance of the tournament, KCB Group Director of Marketing and Communications Rosalind Gichuru emphasized the broader vision.
“The KCB East Africa Golf Tour has positioned the region as a premier golfing destination while reinforcing unity and boosting local economies,” she noted.
“The Nanyuki leg also provides a platform for Mt. Kenya region golfers to participate in a top-tier event.”
KCB has consistently backed the sport not only to nurture talent but also to connect communities across East Africa. With every leg, the tour continues to gather momentum, blending sporting excellence with community engagement.
Winners at the final leg in December will not only gain national recognition but will also walk away with a KShs. 1 million prize to fund a sustainability project run by their home club. Additionally, they’ll earn a coveted spot in an international tournament—an opportunity that highlights KCB’s commitment to elevating local talent to global platforms.
Following Nanyuki, the KCB Golf Tour shifts to Nairobi, with the iconic Karen Country Club set to host the next leg on May 31, 2025. Expectations are high as the tour moves closer to the finale, with each event raising the stakes and sharpening the competition.
