Bullet Bras Evolution || Where did Bullet Bras go to?
The Kenyan government has moved to summon former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for questioning over controversial remarks in which he alleged that senior state officials held meetings with Al-Shabaab militants in Mandera County.
The statement, which has since gone viral, has prompted a sharp response from Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, who warned that such allegations—if left unchecked—pose a serious threat to national security and public trust.
The Interior Ministry says the nature of Gachagua’s allegations touches directly on Kenya’s national security. Any suggestion that government officials are collaborating with a known terrorist organization not only undermines public confidence in the state, but also jeopardizes regional cooperation in the ongoing fight against extremism.
Murkomen stressed that such explosive claims cannot be dismissed as mere political banter. The government now insists that Gachagua must explain the basis of his comments before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
According to the Interior Ministry, the former DP will be required to appear before the DCI to record a formal statement upon his return from a two-month trip to the United States. Investigators will seek clarification on the sources of his claims and determine whether there is any factual basis to initiate further action.
The ministry insists that allowing unverified security allegations to circulate unchecked could lead to unnecessary panic, diplomatic tensions, or even embolden extremist elements.
Beyond legal concerns, Murkomen has raised alarm over what he termed as Gachagua’s increasingly erratic and contradictory behavior. The Cabinet Secretary suggested that, in the absence of clear evidence, the former DP’s actions might warrant a mental health assessment to evaluate his fitness, especially given the weight of the accusations he has made publicly.
The government argues that if Gachagua is not acting with full mental clarity, his statements may be unintentionally misleading millions of Kenyans and straining key national institutions.
In addition to summoning Gachagua, Murkomen has cautioned the public against spreading or amplifying his remarks online. He noted that continued circulation of such content—especially through social media—could deepen political divides, stir unrest, or mislead the public about the country’s internal security situation.

The Ministry has called on Kenyans to engage responsibly and avoid being conduits for information that could incite or destabilize the country.
As the former Deputy President’s return draws closer, the Interior Ministry has confirmed that law enforcement agencies are prepared to act, in line with constitutional and legal frameworks. If Gachagua fails to provide credible evidence to support his claims, he may face legal consequences for spreading false information with potential to compromise national cohesion.
The government maintains that freedom of speech must be exercised responsibly, especially by former leaders whose words carry significant weight and influence.
